Autologous Therapy PRP in orthopedics
PRP therapy (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a modern, minimally invasive method that promotes tissue regeneration and recovery. It is based on the patient’s own blood, which, after special processing, it separates into its components and from them we obtain the plasma with the platelets - growth factors. These substances stimulate healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance the body’s natural repair processes.
Where PRP is applied:
Tendon injuries and tendinitis (e.g. tennis elbow, Achilles tendon)
Arthritis (especially in the knee and hip)
Muscle injuries and strains
Cartilage damage
Chronic joint or soft tissue pain

What is PRP?
PRP comes from the words platelet rich plasma and means plasma rich in platelets.
It is a new branch of "regenerative medicine", the aim of which is to stimulate the body's own natural healing mechanisms to restore the wear and tear of time, the signs of our everyday life and help the healing of injuries.
What is the process?
The procedure takes about an hour. The first step is blood sampling, which is done simply, like blood tests. Then the blood is centrifuged at a certain speed and the growth factors are collected by the specialized staff (and activated for maximum results.) Finally, it is administered by injection into the affected area according to the patient's needs.
Are there any side effects?
There are no side effects, just as there are no allergic reactions, as material obtained from our own body is used.
When can I expect to see results?
More than one session is usually required for the first results. The difference becomes noticeable within approximately 20 days. After consultation with the doctor and continuous monitoring, we decide how many sessions will be needed for optimal results.
